Mixed Media Artwork (2024 - current)

Collections of recent mixed media artworks. I have developed a different approach to my artwork in the last year or so and am very much enjoying this much looser style. The collections in this section have all begun with very loose sketches using a limited colour palette. A preferred composition is then sketched out on my chosen substrate (usually wooden board) and paper, acrylic paint, ink, some scratching in (or out), and a bit of sanding back then give the piece a grainy feel and depth. Hopefully, the final results maintain the essence of the place originally visited and perhaps the emotions that led me to want to interpret what I have witnessed there.
